2018 Annual Report
Since 2010, the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Nebraska Medicine (The Medical Center) have built a strong foundation in sustainability by explicitly connecting human health and the local environment to actions taken by the Medical Center. For example, actions to reduce energy use improve local air quality and reduce respiratory distress. The Medical Center established six sustainability goals focusing on emissions, materials, water, campus planning, transportation, and campus engagement. This report is an update on the progress towards these six sustainability goals committed to by the Medical Center.
